One of the most fun things about being a photographer? Finding beauty in the ordinary. Before I was a photographer, I really didn't notice my surroundings very much. Sure, if something was out of the ordinary like an epic sunset I would notice, but that was pretty much the extent of it. Now, I'm always paying attention to my environment and noticing things that others might not because some of the most basic seeming locations can make for great photography spots! This session with Tessa and Jake for example, was just in a field with some cherry blossom trees next to a church parking lot in Beaverton, Oregon. Most people probably wouldn't have thought anything of this field, but the cherry blossom trees made for a dreamy backdrop for this couple's photo session.
